About Mrs. Durbin
I have lived in Rocklin for the past 16 years. My father and grandmother were both born in Rocklin. My great grandfather owned and operated a quarry on the corner of Rocklin Road and Granite Drive. Last May my husband and I celebrated 30 years of marriage.
I attended Chico State and graduated from Sacramento State. I received my teaching credential through National University. I recently went back to school and obtained a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on reading instruction at Sacramento State University.
This will be my 23nd year of teaching (and still love it!). I began teaching third grade at Rocklin Elementary School. Three years later I moved to Sierra Elementary School first opened. For the last 19 years I’ve taught either second or third grade and taught first grade for 2 years. For many years I started in second grade and looped up up to third with my class
